Barrafer A 

Barrafer A is a cementitious, ready-to-use, one component compound based on a special synthetic resin dispersion.  It is used for the protection of steel reinforcement against corrosion in concrete.  Barrafer A requires only the addition of water to yield a thixotropic compound that is easy to apply to the reinforcing steel with a brush.

As a result of its high alkalinity level it forms an excellent barrier against acidic gases (CO 2 SO 2 ² ) and salts. Barrafer A protects reinforcing steel permanently against corrosion.

The compound's synthetic resin dispersion provides excellent adhesion to steel and concrete.  Barra ready-to-use repair mortars (Barra 80, Barra Mortar HL, Barrafill) as well as all other cementitious or epoxy mortars have excellent adhesion to the Barrafer A .
