Rheobuild 2000A is an admixture based on water-soluble sulphonated polymers of different molecular weight. Each fraction of the polymer, which has a given molecular weight, has a specific and optimum action over the various mineralogical components of the Portland cement clinker (C3S, C2S, C3A, and C4AF). Adding Rheobuild 2000A to concrete, the molecules of the polymer with a negative charge absorb onto the surface of cement grains, cause a repulsion among cement particles, thus making their dispersion in water easier and, consequently, the mix much more fluid.
Obviously, Rheobuild 2000A continues its action, even if blended cement based on Portland cement clinker and other materials, such as pozzolans, fly ash and slag (GGBFS), are used.
Rheobuild 2000A is a ready-to-use, chloride free, liquid admixture which meets AS 1478 type HWR.
